Whether as a five-centimeter-thick slab for pedestrian areas or as an eight-to-eighteen-centimeter-thick paving system that withstands the highest traffic loads - the fine grained Umbriano concrete blocks with unchamfered edges and the appearance of sawn natural stone are popular in both private and public areas. They enhance entrance areas, sidewalks, boulevards and urban spaces – as unmistakable unique with individual grain in the stone. With its unchamfered edges, Umbriano enables surface design with a smooth and homogeneous appearance combined with a very good walkability. The CleanTop® surface protection with CF 90 facilitates the maintenance of the stone. The production process developed by Metten especially for Umbriano is unique and internationally patented. Umbriano was awarded with the iF product design award and nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.
