Cleaning agents and care products.
Due to the CleanTop® technology, appropriately protected products are easier to clean comparing with untreated concrete stones. Especially for our 4 cm slabs with CF 100 it is sufficient, to clean the surface with warm water and, if necessary, to scrub in addition of commercial neutral soap. For ongoing care, we recommend METTEN Bio Steinpflege. When regularly used, this special product protects the stone. It is free of phosphates, alkalis, waxes and polymers and it is biodegradable.
Especially in case of persistent organic pollution, we recommend METTEN Außenreiniger. This cleaner is also suitable for the annual maintenance cleaning.
First gently scrape butter stain or absorb grease stain as soon as possible with paper towel. Clean the remaining stains with warm water and detergent (surfactant cleaners) while scrubbing. Rinse with plenty of water. Repeat if necessary. In case of particularly stubborn pollution, treat the surface with chloric stonecleaner (e.g. METTEN Außenreiniger) or grease remover (e.g. Akemi Öl- und Fettentfernerpaste, Lithofin Oil-Ex). Then repeat cleaning with warm water and detergent. Try previously on an inconspicuous area.* Some CleanTop® surfaces could be damaged by the use of cleaners containing solvent (oil remover).
Clean stubborn pollution with chloric stonecleaner (e.g. METTEN Außenreiniger). Leave on the stonecleaner sufficiently long and repeat if necessary. Try previously on an inconspicuous area.
Absorb and remove pollution as soon as possible with paper towel to keep the exposure time as low as possible. If low polluted, already sparkling mineral water may helps. If stronger polluted, use warm water and detergent (surfactant cleaners) while scrubbing. Rinse with plenty of water. Repeat if necessary. In case of particularly stubborn pollution, treat the surface with chloric stonecleaner (e.g. METTEN Außenreiniger). Try previously on an inconspicuous area.* Please note: Do not use acidic detergents (e.g. cement residue remover) in case of pollution with Cola!
Absorb and remove pollution as soon as possible with paper towel to keep the exposure time low. Clean the spots with warm water and detergent (surfactant cleaners) while scrubbing. Rinse with plenty of water. In case of stubborn pollution, treat the surface with grease remover (e.g. Akemi Öl- und Fettentfernerpaste, Lithofin Oil-Ex). After treatment with grease remover repeat the cleaning with warm water and detergent. Try previously on an inconspicuous area.*
Peel resistant chewing gum carefully with a knife. Remove sticky gum carefully on the surface or ice with ice spray. Thus, the gum becomes brittle and can be removed with a spatula. If necessary, treat residual pollution on the surface with chloric stonecleaner (e.g. METTEN Außenreiniger).
Absorb and remove the moist coffee or tea stain as soon as possible with paper towel. After treatment with stonecleaner repeat cleaning with warm water and detergent. Try previously on an inconspicuous area.*. Please note: Do not use acidic detergents (e.g. cement residue remover) in case of pollution with strongly sugared coffee!
Absorb and remove the moist red wine stain as soon as possible with paper towel. Dissolve dried up red wine stains with warm water and detergent (surfactant cleaners), clean stains with detergent (neutral soap) while brushing. Rinse with plenty of water. Repeat as necessary. In case of particularly stubborn pollution, treat the surface with chloric stonecleaner (e.g. METTEN Außenreiniger). After treatment with stonecleaner repeat cleaning with warm water and detergent. Try previously on an inconspicuous area.
Treat algae and moss on the surface with chloric stonecleaner (e.g. METTEN Außenreiniger). Ensure sufficient exposure time of the cleaner. In case of stubborn pollution repeat treatment, thereby extend the exposure time. In case of particularly stubborn green growth use moss and algae remover (e.g. Akemi Anti Grün Longlife, Lithofin Allex). If necessary, clean with chloric cleaner. Rinse with plenty of water. Try previously on an inconspicuous area.
